Multichannel Eye Movement Therapy (MEMI) & Brain-Switch 2.0

I specialise in Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) and Brain-Switch 2.0 - gentle, brief and highly effective techniques based on neuroscience.

  • MEMI

MEMI is particularly effective for acute (single incident) trauma.

In brief, I’ll ask you to hold a visual in your mind, while your eyes follow my pen as I move it in various directions. Amazingly, such simple goal-directed eye movement has been shown to permanently reduce the vividness and emotional intensity of a memory or urge (see article 1; article 2).

  • Brain-Switch 2.0

Brain-Switch 2.0, created by Joachim Lee PBM, works well for complex and developmental trauma, grief, breakups, and self-esteem issues. It essentially involves visualisation exercises where you’ll discard negative memories, internal dialogue and emotions related to a particular issue, and focus instead on the person you want to be and the life you want to build. I have seen amazing transformations in my clients in just one session.

  • Quick & cost-effective

Most trauma therapies require several sessions, which is why clients often drop out. MEMI and Brain-Switch 2.0 can give effective and lasting results in just one to three sessions.

  • Content-free

Most trauma therapies require the client to recount the traumatic experience repeatedly, which can be very upsetting for the client and can even retraumatise them. In contrast, you don’t need to give me details about what happened for MEMI and Brain-Switch 2.0 to be just as effective.

  • Gentle

My clients generally find MEMI and Brain-Switch 2.0 relaxing. For some, it’s the first time in years that their mind has been quiet. I’ve even had some clients fall asleep during MEMI!

  • New perspective

After MEMI or Brain-Switch 2.0, you’ll still have the memory of the experience, but you’ll no longer have an intense negative reaction when you recall it. It will simply be one of many memories in a rich and full life.
