Therapy for Therapists

As therapists, we love our work and want to give our best to our clients.

But there can be things holding us back:

  • Unresolved trauma

  • Personal circumstances, e.g. health issues, caregiving, financial pressure

  • Burnout and compassion fatigue, often due to a misalignment with our organisation, our modality, or the number and type of clients we see.

Many therapists feel they don’t have the time, money or energy to seek therapy for themselves. But the discomfort they feel inside makes them feel like an imposter:

How can I lead my clients into the light when I myself am in the dark?

Around half my clients are mental health practitioners. Some see me for targeted interventions, some for ongoing support.

One of the reasons therapists see me is the brain-based techniques I offer, like MEMI and Brain-Switch 2.0, which are brief and can be content-free, meaning you only need to share whatever detail you feel comfortable with.

But I think the more important reason is my unapologetically human and strengths-based approach. I see the therapist you can be, the therapist you want to be, and we’ll work towards that together.

I’ll also give you tools to process and self-regulate after client sessions and to handle the pressures of life.

You are my client, but also my colleague. I will treat you with the respect, dignity and professional courtesy you deserve.

The sessions are also open to counselling students, interns, and therapists who are thinking of moving into private practice.
